A big message of congratulations goes out to Beeville’s Mighty Trojan Band from their parents and supporters. On Saturday, the band participated in Alice for the UIL Region 14 Marching Contest. The band received a “First Division – Superior” rating from the University Scholastic League.

This Saturday the band is qualified to compete in the second stage of competition. UIL Area G Marching Competition will be held in Calallen. The band will compete against 25 other bands from San Antonio to the Valley for a chance to compete in UIL State competition in the Alamodome.

“The tradition lives on. I am very proud of these young men and women for striving to achieve and attain high standard of performing. We have a fighting chance to qualify for state,” said Jaime Vela, JHS band director.

“I want to thank the parents, businesses, BISD and the community for their unwavering support for these student musicians.”
