Martha Stovall, who coordinated the Christmas Tree Forest, said that unlike other years where the students had a set theme, this year it was a free-for-all.
“We decided to let every grade level decide how they wanted to decorate,” she said.
Some trees hold traditional glass ball ornaments, while others are filled with handmade figurines.
“We try to get the kids and everyone else in the Christmas mood,” Stovall said. “I wanted to make sure (the kids) had the opportunity to have Christmas even if they don’t have the opportunity to have it at home...
“I appreciate all of the teachers and volunteers helping to put this on.”
Today is the last day that the forest will be up.
“We would like for everyone to come in and visit,” Stovall said.
