The Skidmore-Tynan Junior High School hosted the District 30-AA meet on Jan. 23. The young Bobcats and Lady Cats kept the first place plaque at home as they scored 672 points to win the meet for the second consecutive year.

Students from Bloomington, Banquete, Taft, Odem-Edroy and Refugio Middle Schools competed with 93 students from Skidmore-Tynan in 18 different academic events.

There were more than 400 students and well over 100 faculty, staff and parents from the participating schools on the Skidmore-Tynan campus.  “With the help of our wonderful faculty, staff and VIPS parents, the entire meet ran smoothly,” said Debbie Adamez, who coordinated the entire event.

There will be an awards ceremony on Feb. 12 to recognize the accomplishments of these students.
