On Saturday March 6, the National Junior Honor Society students of Moreno Middle School visited the University of Texas as part of the “Explore UT” program.

Explore UT is the biggest open house in Texas. It is a day of events, performances, exhibits, lectures and activities. Explore UT offers a hands-on introduction to university life in the classrooms and laboratories, studios and performance halls, museums and extensive library collections.

With nearly 400 events and activities happening across campus, there was something for everyone. The students had an opportunity to test their skills while making liquid nitrogen ice cream, designing miniature solar cars, rock climbing and engaged in dozens of other activities.
