Kids College will run from June 7 to July 1, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Additional activities take place in the afternoons from 1-5 p.m. Students have the option of buying meal tickets or bringing their own breakfasts and lunches.
All segments of Kids College are led by qualified and creative instructors and supervised by the Continuing Education Division.
Participants will learn the origins of ancient and popular fairy tales. This exploration of literature will include the language, geography, music, dress, imagery and imagination that the fairy tales embody.
During the July 1 finale, students will present their own original fairy tales.
All day camp (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is $425. The cost is $276 for morning sessions only (8 a.m.-1 p.m.) and $200 for afternoon sessions only (1-5 p.m.). Those interested can opt for guitar only ($67), art only ($67) or dance only ($67) sessions in the afternoon. Class times for these sessions vary by the child’s age. Barnhart Scholarship funds may be available.
