The double-ring ceremony was celebrated at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Pflugerville, with Father James Misko officiating.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride carried a bouquet of eggplant calla lilies with stephanotis and baby’s breath. She wore an ivory strapless gown with an empire waist and beaded bodice accented with a pace diamond and green quartz necklace and pave diamond earrings. Her pearl and Swarovski crystal headband and fingertip veil were made from her mother’s original veil and a lace border.
Tracey Martinez served as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Ashley Castillo, sister of the bride, Autumn Edwards and Catherine Wu Lakkis. The flower girl was Gabriella Lakkis and Devin Martinez served as ring bearer.
Brad Shoff was best man and groomsmen were Carlos and Jorge Espinosa, brothers of the groom, and Wendell Smith and John Lakkis.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and reception were held at Casa Blanca in Round Rock. Tables were adorned in moss green tablecloths with floating candles on mirror centerpieces. The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated by the groom’s mother with green and purple ribbons and fresh flowers.
The night preceding the wedding, 40 guests enjoyed a Texas-style barbecue hosted by the groom’s parents at Salt Lick Barbecue in Round Rock.
The bride is the daughter of Doroteo and Betty Castillo of Beeville. She is a 1992 graduate of A.C. Jones High School and 1996 graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, where she earned a bachelor of science degree. She is employed at the Austin Regional Clinic as a family practice physician.
The groom is the son of Jose and Carlina Espinosa of Ann Arbor, Mich., and is a 1986 graduate of Ann Arbor Pioneer High School and a 1992 graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he earned a bachelor of arts in romance languages. He is employed with University Federal Credit Union in Austin.
The couple went on a honeymoon to Anse Chastanet in St. Lucia and are residing in Round Rock.
