Youth For Understanding (YFU) is currently seeking volunteer families to host international high school exchange students from over 60 countries this coming 2010-11 school year.

YFU is a non-profit international exchange program that offers students from around the globe a chance to experience a new culture while going to school and living with an American family. Host families enjoy learning about another culture through sharing family life with their exchange student. YFU also offers an American Overseas program for U.S high school students to study abroad for the summer, semester and year, offering more than 300 scholarships annually.

YFU is comprised of committed individuals and organizations worldwide working together to prepare young people for their responsibilities and challenges in a changing, interdependent global community. Each year YFU places a large number of international exchange students with local families while they attend the local high school and extracurricular activities. More than 2,000 YFU students come to the U.S. from about 50 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America and the Pacific.
