LifeLine screening comes to Beeville June 24

Residents living in and around the Beeville community will have the opportunity on June 24 to be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke or bone fracture. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9170 will host Life Line Screening at the VFW Hall, 1801 S. Washington St. Appointments will begin at 9 a.m.

Screenings are painless, convenient ways to identify potential cardiovascular conditions such as blocked arteries and irregular heart rhythm, abdominal aortic aneurysms and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a predictor of heart disease. A bone density screen, appropriate for both men and women, assessing the risk of osteoporosis will also be offered.
