Sara Linsey Boenig and Cody Wade Langridge, both of Woodsboro, were united in marriage on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 6 p.m. at Raisin L Ranch between Goliad and Victoria.

The bride is the daughter of Glen “Billie” Boenig and Erin “Bebo” Borden.

The groom is the son of Bobby and Valerie Langridge.

The bride wore a ivory, all lace, A-line dress with a trumpet bottom by La Sposa.

Bridesmaids wore yellow chiffon Alfred Angelo dresses with a brown sash that tied to the left.

Groom and groomsmen wore Perry Ellis tan lines suits with white shirts.

Bridesmaids were Libby Balusek, Leah Franke, Corrin Eby. Junior bridesmaid was Maggie Hewitt.

Groomsmen were J.D. Langridge, Colton Langridge and Alfred Franke. Ring bearer was Davis Boenig.

Refreshments of lemonade and sangria were served in small mason jars to keep the guests cool and refreshed. The table was draped with vintage table cloths and fresh flowers with sliced fruit in large decorated mason jars.

Guests were served by cousins of the bride, Morgan, Brooke, Lily Cordell and Katie Willis. Each girl greeted guests with vintage hand fans as they were offered refreshments. Vintage bottled Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, cream soda and water was offered in old wash tubs.

Dan Sheppard, Corpus Christi Fire Department Veteran of 26 years, played the bagpipes for the ceremony and led the wedding party down and aisle where guests were seated in white chairs. Mason jars filled with fresh sliced fruit and flowers hung on shepherd hooks which lined the aisle.

The couple met under and old wooden cross facing a lake where the Rev. Elmoris Johnson, a retiree of Victoria Fire Department, united the couple in marriage.

Following the ceremony, over 200 guests were served a barbecue dinner.

The bride and groom’s cakes were provided by Gary Riemenschneider. The bride’s cake was an ivory lemon flavored three-tiered with brown accents and fresh flowers on each tier. The cake topper was used on the bride’s grandparents cake, Mr. and Mrs. Durwood Boenig, 55 years ago on July 3.

The grooms cake was red velvet with cream cheese icing featuring a fire hose around the base, a fire ax across the top and a fire helmet set upon the ax.

Guests enjoyed music provided by Robbie Blaschke of Dance Across Texas DJ Service.

First dance of the bride and groom was to “I’m never gonna let you go”, by George Strait. Father daughter dance was “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, by Willie Nelson.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Woodsboro High School and is currently is enrolled in Victoria College, in the ADN program, where she will graduate in December as a registered nurse.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Woodsboro High School and a 2004 graduate of Del Mar College Fire Academy. He is currently employed by the Victoria Fire Department.

The couple honeymooned in Cabo, Mex. were they had a fishing trip, catching two Marlin and six Mahi Mahi.
