Roy and Jeri Silvey of Crosby announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Emily Ann, to Wesley Scott Kinkler of Pearland.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joyce and John Wetuski of Crosby and Wanda Drinkard and Roy Silvey of Mont Belvieu. She is a 2003 graduate of Crosby High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Houston, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations, with a minor in marketing. She is currently employed as an inside sales representative with Hahn Equipment Co. in Houston.

The prospective groom is the son of David and Lori Kinkler of Beeville. He is the grandson of Walter and Lucille Kinkler and Dorismae Elbel, all of Beeville, and the late Oscar Elbel of Pearsall. He is a 1998 graduate of Skidmore-Tynan High School and a 2004 graduate of Texas A&M University at Kingsville, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently employed as an engineer with Dow Chemicals in Freeport.

The couple plan to wed on Sept. 25 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Huffman.
