Philip James McDonald, 49, of Austin died in Galveston on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010.

He was born May 1, 1961, in Lawton, Okla., to William and Simona (Perez) McDonald. He was a Catholic and a house painter by profession.

Survivors include his parents, William and Simona (Perez) McDonald of Tuleta; a daughter, Allison McDonald of Austin; three brothers, Charles, John and Billy McDonald, all of Jefferson; his companion, Peggy Collins of Austin; and 10 aunts and uncles, Hope and Daniel Perez of San Antonio, Frances and Bob Kirk of Floresville, Lavern and Philip Perez of Arlington, Vickie and Gene Paterson of Tuleta, Mary Wilson of Tuleta, Mayo Perez of Tuleta, Nieves and Vernon McIntyre of Denver, Colo, Rita and Larry Rosselot of Kokomo, Ind., Lela Perez of Beeville and Pat and Allen Wright of Tucson, Ariz. and numerous cousins.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, in the Tuleta Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Malloy & Son Funeral Home, Galveston.
