Mary Danmier, 85, of Karnes City, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, in a nursing home in Kenedy.

Mrs. Danmier was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Cuevitas to Cecilia (Reyna) and Federico Muñoz. She married Edwin William Danmier on July 28, 1943, and was a housewife and member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecilia (Reyna) and Federico Muñoz; her husband, Edwin William Danmier; four brothers, Manuel, Jose, Federico and Joe; and a sister, Hortencia.

Survivors include a daughter, Bertha (Donaciano) Aldrete of Hebbronville; two sons, Oscar (Mary) Danmier of Runge and Robert (Jan) Danmier of Beeville; two brothers, Pablo Muñoz of Hebbronville and Thomas Muñoz of Kansas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Eckols Chapel in Kenedy. The funeral service was celebrated at 10 o’clock Friday morning at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, with Rev. Norbert Herman officiating. Burial followed in the Kenedy Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Eckols Funeral Home Inc., Kenedy.
