She was born on March 31, 1950, to Overton James and Irene Hasley. She was a 1968 graduate of Ottumwa High School in Iowa. She wrote and published a couple of books. She enjoyed drawing and was an active member of Maranatha Church of God in Beeville.
Mrs. Wright was honored at Christus Spohn Shoreline Tuesday morning with the first flag-raising ceremony for being an organ donor.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Hasley.
Survivors include her husband, Dan Wright of Beeville; a son, Scott Huddleston of Davenport, Iowa; a daughter, Angie Holman of Davenport, Iowa; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and seven siblings, David (Thelma) Hasley of Augusta, S.C., Jay (Shirley) Hasley of Graniteville, S.C., Larry Hasley of Aurora, Colo., Beverly (Dennis) Knight of Elk City, Okla., James Hasley of Beeville, Pamela (Gary) Allison of Clifton and Patrick Hasley of Martinez, Ga.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Maranatha Church of God with Bishop Ben Drewry officiating.
