Coastal Bend College recognizes National Hispanic Month, Sept. 15-Oct. 15. A celebration will take place Thursday, Sept. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the James R. Dougherty Student Center (SUB) to honor the contributions of Hispanic-Americans to U.S. history and to celebrate the language, cultures and customs that contribute to our diverse and rich American heritage.

Happy the Comedian will perform at 11 a.m. Happy is recognized as one of the top Hispanic comedians in the country. He entertains audiences from Washington, D.C., to San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is also a regular at the famous Comedy Improv in Los Angeles and Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

Happy’s credits include opening for Paul Rodriguez, George Lopez and Bill Cosby, He is famous for his Standing Room Only Comedy Shows and was the first co-producer and host of the Galavision comedy show, “Que Loco!”
