He was born on March 16, 1926, in Live Oak County to Earnest Wolff, Sr. and Ella Tetens. He married Melba Zaeske on Nov. 20, 1948, in Houston and was a farmer and rancher. He served as a council member and president at Our Savior Lutheran Church and was also director and chairman of Live Oak Soil and Water Conservation District and director and chairman of Three Rivers Farmers Co-op.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven Wayne Wolff; and two brothers, Horace Wolff and Homer Wolff.
Survivors include his wife, Melba Wolff; a son, Leroy (Rhonda Custer) Wolff of Taft; two daughters, Karen (George) Vickery of Ingleside and Sandra (Tim) Liska of George West; a sister, Barabara Wolff Kopplin of Three Rivers; a brother, Bennie (Billie Jo) Wolff of Stockdale; seven grandchildren, Michelle Vickery Collins, Michael Vickery, Natalie Wolff, Weston Wolff, Tyler Liska, Travis Liska and Tara Liska; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, with a prayer service held at 7 o’clock.
The funeral service was conducted there at 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Norman Sulaica Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tyler Liska, Weston Wolff, Travis Liska, Randy Kopplin, Ray Wolff, Ryan Wolff, Eric Wolff and Richard Lee.
Honorary pallbearers included Michelle Vickery Collins, Natalie Wolff and Tara Liska.
