Mr. Gomez was born Jan. 13, 1948, in Bee County to Arnulfo and Lucinda (Gutierrez) Gomez. He was supervisor for an oil rig drilling company in Bee County for more than 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnulfo and Lucinda Gomez; and a brother, Jose Gomez.
Survivors include his wife, Eulalia “Lala” Gomez of Beaumont, formerly of Beeville; two daughters, Lucinda “Lucy” (David) DelaGarza and Juanita Gomez; two sons, Adolfo Gomez II and Adolfo (Esther) Gomez III; four sisters, Elva G. Saenz and Maria G. Calderon, both of Beeville, Hortencia Perez of Rockport and Anita (Jose) Garcia of Tynan; three brothers, Espirio (Juanita) Gomez, Arnulfo (Susie) Gomez and Juan Gomez, all of Beeville; 10 grandchildren, Marlina Gomez, Tye Gomez, Chasity Gomez, Esperanza Gomez, John Lee Gomez, Julia Gomez, Brandon Gomez, Vanessa Gomez, Liana Gomez and Mia Gomez; and numerous other relatives.
Viewing was held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Broussard’s Funeral Home in Beaumont, followed by the funeral service at 2 o’clock that afternoon.
