The Bethlehem Baptist Church will host the Beeville Vineyard’s sixth annual Gospel Brunch on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. Their choir will provide the music for the event, according to Vineyard director Bettye Hale.

The church musicians invite the community to enjoy their lively, foot-stomping, sing-along gospel music, while supporting the local help agency.

The brunch menu includes sausage and egg casserole, mixed fruit, homemade muffins, coffee, juice and milk, all prepared and donated by Vineyard board members and members of the churches which provide regular support for the Vineyard.

The music will begin at 10 o’clock, and food will be served around 10:45, allowing participants time to attend other events planned for the same day.

Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. They may be purchased at the Vineyard or from any Vineyard board member.

Bethlehem Baptist Church is located at 108 N. Burke St., near Coastal Bend College’s Lott-Canada Facility continuing education campus.

Proceeds from the Gospel Brunch are an important source of funds for the Vineyard, enabling the local organization to continue its mission of assisting those in need in the community.

“In these challenging economic times, more people are in need and less money is being given to the Vineyard,” Mrs. Hale commented. “The Gospel Brunch is one way we can raise the funds we need to provide needed assistance. We hope it will be well-supported.”
