A donation of $1,000 in gift cards was given by H-E-B to the American Legion Post #274 to host a fundraiser in order to raise the necessary funds to maintain the post home, to assist in their numerous community service projects and to assist needy veterans and their families.

The local American Legion Post was chartered in 1922 and has remained active all 88 years. The Post no longer maintains a business and survives solely on fund-raising projects.
