Goliad Mission to host fall concert

At 7 p.m. Saturday, the historic chapel of Mission Espiritu Santo will be host to the Mainland Singers and Mainland Chorale from the College of the Mainland in Texas City.

Under the direction of Dr. James Heffel, the concert will be a celebration of the crisp, cool days of autumn. The repertoire for the concert ranges from Mozart and Handel to Rodgers and Hammerstein. Other composers on the program include Joseph Martin, Philip Stopford and Greg Gilpin. The concert will take place inside the historic chapel of Mission Espiritu Santo.

Goliad State Park is located approximately 1/2 mile south of Goliad on Highway 183. Admission fees are $3 for adults, $2 for senior citizens and free for children 12 and under. For more information, call Goliad State Park at 645-3405.
