The GHS Class of 2012 will end their high school careers on Friday evening at Tiger Stadium. The ceremony will begin at 8 p.m. The Tiger Band will play the processional under the direction of Band Director, Jason Howard. They will also end the program with the Recessional.

Opening remarks will be made by Tyler Flores, Class President following by the National Anthem by the GHS Band. The welcome address will be presented by Beth Henning, Salutatorian.

“Never Grow up,” by Taylor swift will be dedicated to the parents.

Captain Clifford Duncan will be the guest speaker. Valedictorian, Tasha Phillips will give the farewell address.

Principal Emilio Vargas III will certify the graduates and they will receive their diplomas by Superintendent Christy Paulsgrove.; along with Board Members, Bob B. Gayle, Carlos Gutierrez, Brandon Huber, Trey Wimberly, Destry Gruetzmacher, Dr. Richard Mollicone and Robert DeLaGarza.

Closing remarks will be made by Elizabeth Dorantes, Student Council President.

The class song, I’ll See You When I See you by Jason Aldean will be played, followed by the Alma Mater and then the recessional.

The Class chose “Hakuna Matata” (No Worries”) as their class motto.The Sunflower is their class flower and the colors are navy, silver and white.

Class Sponsors are Patricia Huber, Pam Hailey, Gigi Ousley, Shari Janak, Jason Howard, Elvira Ybarra, Andrew Schachetl, Thomas Keresztury, Christy Zillig, Dawn Butler and Ed Ousley.

Serving as ushers and usherettes are Kara Thomas, Alicia Henry, Garrett Haney, Katie Alex, Evan Fleming, DeLayne Styra, Shanti Rodriguez and Daniel Dohmann.
