Jose Pena, Jr. 86, of Goliad passed away May 28, 2012. He was born June 12, 1925, in Goliad to the late Jose and Christina Vega Pena. He was a farmer and member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maria Gutierrez Pena and daughters Christina and the late Gary Bloom, Lucy (Tom) Bustamante and Linda (Jose) Hernandez of Goliad, one son, George Pena of Goliad, 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and a son Joe David Pena.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. at Goliad Funeral Home on Thursday, May 31, and Mass was on Friday, June 1, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Joe Gutierrez officiating. Burial followed in San Jacinto cemetery in the Riverdale community.

Pallbearers were, Sylverio Flores, Kenneth Bloom, Joe Luis Bustamante Andrew Pena, Johnny Bustamante and George Pena, Jr. Honorary bearer Billy Bustamente.
