Doris Lee Gebbert (Grandma Doris), 79, passed away after a short illness on Sunday, June 3, 2012. Doris was born June 1, 1933, in Goliad County to the late Fritz and Louise Gebbert. She grew up on her family farm in the Kilgore Community and graduated from Goliad High School. Doris was married to the late Billy B Clapsaddle in 1949.

Doris much enjoyed her time traveling around the state as a representative for Olan Mills. She was an awesome seamstress and enjoyed sewing for family and friends.

Doris is survived by her four children: son Charles (Susie) Clapsaddle of Goliad; daughter Mary (Danny) Rokyta of Goliad; daughter Kitty (Daniel) Cannon of Shreveport, LA; daughter Angelique (Mark) Uresti of Victoria; grandchildren Jeff Little, Carl Clapsaddle, Jason Huffman, Shae Smith, Nathan Little, Darin Rokyta, Christopher Cannon, Devon Rokyta, Mark Clapsaddle, Cara Clapsaddle, Sam Cannon, Susan Harkey, Danni Rae Cannon, and Alexa Uresti; and great grandchildren Max Smith, Kurt Smith, Haley Clapsaddle, Charlotte Cannon, Stella Little, Sam Little, Henry Smith, Oveila Cannon, Hannah Clapsaddle, Paul Smith, and Oliver Little.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Goliad Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the Goliad Funeral Home and will be officiated by Brother Jay Fleming of the First Baptist Church of Goliad. Interment will follow in the Kilgore Community Cemetery, Goliad, Texas.

Pallbearers are Jeff Little, Carl Clapsaddle, Jason Huffman, Nathan Little, Darin Rokyta, Christopher Cannon, Devin Rokyta, Mark Clapsaddle, and Sam Cannon.

The family extends its most sincere gratitude to the staffs of La Bahia Nursing and Rehabilitation and the Hospice of South Texas for their help and loving care of Doris.
