Teddy Ray Taylor, 91, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Goliad passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012. He was born August 22, 1920, in Throckmorton, Texas, to Ashford Theodore and Nannie Lee Foster Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Sis Taylor, sons Pat (Vikki), Mike, and Chuck of Goliad, and daughter Mary Nan Taylor of Austin. Sister, Vesta Shaw (100 yrs. old) of Denver, Colo. Grandchildren: Michelle, Jami, Jennifer, Scott, Sarah, Grant, Cody, Ashford, Taylor Nicole, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Ted was predeceased by his parents and twin sister Nannie Fay, brother, Glenn and sister Naida. Ted retired from DuPont in 1979, after 28 1/2 years of service, he proudly served his country in WW II in the U.S. Army. For enjoyment, he and Sis were avid golfers as members of the Goliad Golf Club.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, at the Goliad Funeral Home, 414 W. Ward Street, Goliad, Texas, with Msgr. Rory Deane officiating. Visitation was held on the preceding evening, Wednesday, June 6, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Goliad Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons Scott Taylor, Grant Taylor, Cody Taylor and Ashford Taylor, also, J.W. Parr, Jim Jones, Paulino Martinez, grandaughters, and friends John Wayne Doerr and Bob Jackson.
