There were a total of 10 4-H members who competed in 8 different contests this past week at the Texas State Round Up in Lubbock, Texas. Some members competed in multiple contests!! In Fashion Storyboard Contest, Amanda Cloessner placed 3rd on her Pet Clothing Board. In the Fashion Show, Casual Construction, Carolyn Swize captured 3rd place, and she also placed 9th in the Natural Fiber contest. Amanda & Carolyn teamed up in the Quilt Challenge, pieced category, and received 3rd place. Amanda & Carolyn also teamed up on an Educational Presentation in Family & Consumer Sciences and received a blue ribbon. Members gave their best in the Nutritional Quiz Bowl were Amanda Cloessner, Carolyn Swize, Kayla Webel, & Kendra Webel all receiving blue ribbons. And members who also gave their all in the Consumer Decision Making team were Megan Hilscher, Bailey Janssen, & Sara Pnacek all receiving blue ribbons as wel. In photography the following members received blue ribbons on their entries – Meghan Baetz (Animals/Wildlife), Bailey Janssen (Details & Macro), Hanna Henson (Food), Amanda Cloessner (Theme), & Beth Henning (Elements of Design & People), Beth also entered the Plant/Flora Category.
