GOLIAD – The Goliad Tigerettes will begin District 30-2A volleyball action this week at home against Tidehaven before hosting the Goliad Tournament on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Goliad will face Tidehaven at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The Tigerettes (7-7) won three of six matches over the weekend at the Sinton Tournament.

Goliad beat Corpus Christi John Paul II 27-25, 25-14; Alice 25-18, 25-18; and Beeville 25-21, 25-20. The Tigerettes lost to Corpus Christi King 25-27, 25-22, 25-23; Corpus Christi Tuloso-Midway 25-14, 25-23; and Sinton 25-21, 25-22.

On Friday, the Goliad alumni defeated the Tigerettes 25-22, 25-20, 25-18.

The Tigerettes will play Friday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. in the Goliad Tournament.

Other teams in the tournament will be Yoakum, Pettus, Mathis, George West, Victoria St. Joseph, Bloomington, Runge, Palacios, Gonzales, Cuero, Hallettsville, Woodsboro, Banquete, and the Goliad JV Blue team.
