The top three teams and top 10 individuals advanced to the state meet to be held Saturday in Round Rock.
Goliad’s John Von Dohlen finished 12th with a time of 17:00 over the 3-mile course. Other Tiger runners were Ryan Walker (51st, 18:15), Quentin Alkek (71st, 18:43), Austen Guerrero (73rd, 18:43), Ryder Billo (103rd, 19:21), Jake Schneider (113th), and Anthony Maldonado (165th).
Danielle Garza topped the Goliad girls with a 46th-place finish in 13:51 over the 2-mile course. Other Tigerette runners were Hanna Henson (65th, 14:08), Marla Preston (69th, 14:11), Denise Jones (92nd, 14:35), Kelsey Kocian (153rd), Briana Flores (155th), and Morgan Jeanneret (167th).
Luling won the boys title and Johnson City took the girls championship.
