4-H clubs selling 9-1-1 signs

The Goliad County 4-H clubs are currently selling 9-1-1 signs as well.

This is not a fundraiser, but a his is our community service project.

Show entry deadline

Those wanting to attend the Fort Worth Stock Show must enter by Nov. 14.

Those interested can e-mail the Goliad County Extension Office pick up registration forms and rules for major livestock shows (i.e. San Antonio and Houston) by 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26.

Livestock judging

Those interested in livestock judging can call 361-564-8989 to get more details.

Quilt project

A quilting demonstration and workshop will be held at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Ander on Sunday, Nov. 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. For more information, contact Bethany Schoener at 645-1680.

4-H photo contest

The next category for the monthly photo contest will be “Food.” 

The category is for still- life photos of food for use in such items as advertisements, packaging, menus, cookbooks, etc. Examples include cakes/pies, fruits, Easter eggs, place settings, Thanksgiving dinner, ingredients, etc. (no alcoholic beverages). 

The 8x10 photos must have been taken within the last two months. 

Photos can be submitted to the Goliad County Extension Office by 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10.  

Rifle project

Those interested in the rifle project can contact Nicole Friedrichs at 645-4865.

There will be a mandatory safety meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at the Julie Wimberly Memorial Homemaking Building.
