GOLIAD – The 28th Annual Goliad Massacre Living History program began Saturday at Presidio La Bahia and will continue through Sunday.

On Saturday afternoon, the second skirmish between Santa Anna's Mexican soldiers and Col. Fannin's Texians will be reenacted at 1:30 p.m. and be followed by living history at the campsites.

At 2:15 p.m. Saturday, there will be a presentation at the chapel followed by the Battle of Coleto Creek reenactment at 3 p.m.

At 3:30 p.m., there will be living history at the campsites and gates will close Saturday at 5 p.m.

Gates will open at 9 a.m. Sunday. At 9:30 a.m., Dennis Riedesel will make a presentation on Isaac Hamilton.

At 10 a.m., the death march from the chapel to the actual massacre site will be held with a presentation of wreaths concluding the program.
