GOLIAD – The district-champion and regional-bound Goliad boys and girls cross country teams were paraded through downtown Goliad on Friday with a sheriff's and fire truck escort.

The teams will compete at the Region IV-2A meet Saturday at the NSC Complex located at 5931 Roft Rd. in San Antonio.

The Class 2A girls race will begin at 9:50 a.m. while the Class 2A boys race will start at 10:10 a.m.

The top three teams and top 10 individuals advance to the state meet, which will be held Nov. 9 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

The Advance-Guard will be covering the meet and post photos and results immediately at mySouTex.com.
