We have been really busy here at Goliad Middle School.

In February, Vicki Wimberly’s seventh- grade reading classes did research and poster projects on black history. The posters were displayed throughout the hallways.

Students who were rewarded were Tristan Cabrera, Taylor Curry, Biviana Hernandez, Cruz Castro, Kevin Garza, Jericho Jackson, Felicia Aguayo, Emma Albrecht, Tuffy Dornburg, Kaci Hotz, Baily Huber, Isabella Livas, Sabrina Martin, Cierra Mendoza, Hayden Reitz, Jacob Rubio, Frank Rucio, McKenna Sawyer, Kelly Thomas, Jake West, Savannah Mozisek, Mason Narvaez, Trinity Brooks, Audrey Blevins, Amaya Brown, Janet Dorantes, Dylan Hubbard, Jennifer Valdez, Jordan Wise, Trevor Bellamy, and Jalyn Garcia.

Public School Week recognized

The week of March 3-7 was Texas Public School Week. We would like to thank all the parents, grandparents, relatives, and guardians who visited our school during the week and for those who came to our Parent Plus day. We had pizza, veggies, cookies, drinks, and door prizes for parents and students who participated.

STAAR testing this week

STAAR testing will begin on Tuesday, April 1 with seventh-grade writing and eighth-grade math. On Wednesday, April 2, we will take the second day of writing for seventh grade and the reading test for eighth grade. Parents can help by making sure their children are well-rested, have a good breakfast and show up for the tests.
