BLOOMINGTON – The Goliad Tigerettes hung on to take a 10-9 District 30-2A softball win over the Bloomington Lady Cats on Tuesday.

The win improved Goliad to 6-17 overall and 4-7 in district play.

Leading the Tigerettes offensively were Kaitlin Friend (3-for-5, 2 runs scored, 3 RBI), Stephanie Savoy (2-for-5, double, run scored), and Jade Reyna (2-for-4, double, 2 stolen bases, run, RBI).

Lauren Garcia pitched the final 5 2/3 innings to get the win.

The Tigerettes will return to action Friday in Goliad with a 6 p.m. district game against Refugio.
