SAN MARCOS – Goliad senior Ryder Billo is headed back to the state tournament after rolling past Universal City Randolph's Jeremy Fagan 6-2, 6-3 in Thursday's boys singles final at the Region IV-2A tournament at the Bobcat Tennis Courts.

Billo reached the final with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Igram Moore's Luis Chimal in Thursday morning's semifinals.

Billo, who reached the state final last year, beat Brazos Consolidated's Jonathan Farley 6-0, 6-0 in the first round Wednesday and downed Jourdanton's Russ Harlan 6-1, 6-0 in Wednesday's quarterfinals.

The Class 2A state tournament will be held April 28 and 29 at Texas A&M's Mitchel Tennis Center in College Station.
