Nominations are being sought for potential award recipients in the area of law enforcement, education, humanitarianism and citizenship/community
service. Nominations are not restricted to Goliad County.
A two- to three-page, single-spaced outline of the nominees accomplishments is required. Finalists will be recognized at the Nov. 1 banquet and receive the General Zaragoza Medallion.
The organization, which is in its 70th year, donates over $10,000 annually in scholarships to local students and promotes the annual Cinco de Mayo celebration at the Goliad County Fairgrounds in honor of Gen. Ignacio Zaragoza, who was born in Goliad County.
Nominations must be received by e-mail or regular mail or be hand delivered by Oct. 17 to Hernan Jaso.
