GOLIAD – Goliad ISD is in the process of developing a curriculum management system and providing curriculum training this summer.

Teachers will use the curriculum management system as a framework to house the resources and expectations to effectively plan instruction for their students.

During the training, teachers are going through a Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills study. The TEKS study is designed to provide a greater understanding of individual student standards teachers are required to teach by the state.

Based on district data, teachers are working to align curriculum, instruction and assessment. Professional development and training will spiral over the course of this upcoming school year.

Dr. Neva Kelly of Synergy Education Group is consulting with district administrators Liz Harris and De Helmer.
