GOLIAD – Two suspects facing first-degree murder charges in the death of Chris Garza have been transferred from the Goliad County Jail for safety reasons.

Goliad County Sgt. John Pape said Torivio “Toby” Gutierrez Jr. and Louis Michael Flores were transferred Friday to the Live Oak County Jail. A third suspect, Endalesio “Andy” R. Pompa IV, was released on $100,000 bond and a $25,000 personal recognizance bond last week.

“This is such a high-profile case and a lot of high emotions, the jail felt it was safer to have them elsewhere for their own safety,” Pape said.

Deidre Warrick, who was charged along with Gutierrez, Flores and Pompa with engaging in organized criminal activity, was released last week on $100,000 bond, according to Pape.
