Porter earns Masters in agriculture at Sul Ross University

Rebecca Porter graduated from Sul Ross University with her Masters Degree in Agriculture on December 18, 2010.

She has been the recipient for two years of one of the two grants the school received from the Houston Livestock Show.

While attending she was a lab instructor for Animal Science, and assistant to her advisor Dr. Paul Will.

While in school Rebecca was able to continue working full time for McCoy’s Building Supply as floor manager. She will continue to work for McCoy’s Lumber for the time being.

She is the daughter of Tom and Terri Porter of Laredo, and granddaughter of Charlene Anderson of Karnes City and Janice Porter of Kenedy. Rebecca graduated from Karnes City High School in 2004 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Beef Production from Sul Ross State University in December 2008.
