Gladys Marilyn Lobner, 67, of Kenedy, died Thursday, March 31, 2011. She was born January 16, 1944, in Kenedy, to the late Charlie and Ida (Rosenbrock) Broz. On October 15, 1960 in Mountain , Wisconsin she married Louis Lobner and they raised three children. She was an insurance agent and a homemaker. Gladys was a lifelong resident of Karnes County. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Lobner of Kenedy; daughters, Barbara (Larry) Kotzur of Panna Maria and Judith Robles of San Antonio; son, L.W. "Butch" Lobner of El Campo, six grandchildren, and one great-granchild. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and granddaughter, Autumn Metting.

A prayer service was held Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Eckols Chapel at 7:00pm. Funeral services were at 10am on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. Wally Schievelbein officiating, with burial at New Bremen Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Wayne Bednorz, Ryan Dzuik, Dakota Metting, Ivan Cordes and Werner Ahrens.
