Natividad "Tivo" Baldera, 77, of Kenedy, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in San Antonio. He was born Sept. 9, 1933, in Charco, to the late Tranquelino and Guadalupe Baldera. He was a retired janitor with KISD and a Catholic by faith.

Survivors: daughters, Gloria Baldera of San Antonio, Norma Baldera of Kenedy, Crystal Baldera of Kenedy, and Christina Baldera of Kenedy; sons, Jesse Baldera of San Antonio and Juan Baldera of Kenedy; sisters, Dora Cavazos of Corpus Christi, Eloisa Garcia of San Marcos, and Rosa Navarro of Port Lavaca; brothers, Juan Baldera and Juan Pilar Baldera, both of Port Lavaca; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; sister, Maria Vasquez; and brothers, Jose Baldera and Ernesto Baldera.

A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Eckols Chapel. The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment followed at Charco Cemetery, the Rev. Norbert Herman officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Domingo Vasquez, Raul Vasquez, Ramiro Cavazos, refugio Navarro Jr., Juan Baldera Jr., and Alex Baldera.
