Zacarias D. "Kiki" Cantu, 57, of Kenedy, died Friday, May 6, 2011. He was born August 17, 1953, in Kenedy, to Santos and Aquilina (Diaz) Cantu. He was a transportation specialist for Karnes County Adult Daycare Center. Kiki was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

He is survived by his mother; wife, Clara Cantu; daughter, Cecilia (Adrian) Villanueva of Kenedy; son, Alfonzo Vasquez of Austin; sisters, Rosie Cantu of Pflugerville, Belinda Torres of Pflugerville, and Susie Mendoza of Pflugerville; brothers, Freddy Cantu of San Antonio, Ricky Cantu of Pflugervilleand Santos Cantu Jr. of San Antonio; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, and his son, Felix Vasquez.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Eckols Chapel. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment followed at Loma Alta Cemetery, Rev. Norbert Hermann officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Mark Vittek, Juan Soto, Frank Contreras, Cecil Diaz. Ray Rios and Adrian Villanueva.
