“Garrett Liska was solid behind the plate and quality at third base in both games,” said Coach Shane Carbee.

KC: 9 hits, 3 errors, 6 runners left on base Freer: 8 hits, 1 error

“The key to the series was clutch hitting,” Carbee said. “Karnes City did not get the timely hitting they are accustomed to. Hats off to Freer as they are a solid team who will be tough to deal with.”

Karnes City finishes the year at 19-7. They were undefeated District 30-2A Champions (14-0) and Area Finalists.

“This in itself is a great accomplishment,” Carbee said. “I cannot say enough about the quality of players and young men on this team. I was proud to be a part of it!”
