Kay Moeller, age 58, devoted wife, mother, and teacher, passed away peacefully on July 14 after a difficult battle with cancer. Relatives and friends gathered to attend a celebration of life for Kay at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23 at White's Chapel United Methodist Church, 185 South White's Chapel Blvd., Southlake, Texas. She was born on November 14, 1952 in Karnes City, Texas to her parents, Terrell and Lenora Roberts. Kay was the younger of two daughters. She married David Moeller in San Antonio, Texas on August 24, 1974. They had one son, Jeremy Christian Moeller. She attended Texas State University where she was a distinguished member of the National Social Science Honor Society and graduated in 1974 with a degree in education. Kay taught at Churchill High School in San Antonio, Texas, Canyon Vista Middle School in Austin, Texas, and Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas for a total of 34 years. While in Southlake she was an active member of the White's Chapel United Methodist Church. She and David enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe. Her hobbies included a passion for politics, dining out, and enjoying the company of friends and family (preferably while at the beach with a margarita in hand). She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Terrell and Lenora Roberts. She will be remembered by her loving husband and son. She is also survived by her sister, Margie Roberts Braudaway; her niece, Chaliise Braudaway Mackey; her nephew, Britton Braudaway; and numerous friends and relatives.
