Neva Delores Bollman died September 29, 2011 at the age of 94 at John Paul II Nursing Home in Kenedy, Texas where she had been a resident since May, 2007. Neva was born at College Hill, Missouri on Sept. 26, 1917, the daughter of Henry Clay and Maymie (Smith) Branson. She grew up in the College Hill community, and was a long time resident of Bland. On Jan. 13, 1940 she was married to Edwin Bollman, and to this union three sons were born. Surviving Neva is one son, Ken Bollman and his wife Lou of Falls City, Texas; a daughter-in-law Carolyn Wehmeyer Bollman, of Falls City; granddaughters, Lori Ann Bollman of Cappell, Texas, Christy Blocker and husband Vernon and Shelly Gorzell and husband Henry Jr., all of Falls City, Jackie Watson of Austin, Texas, and Trish Bollman and husband Yan of San Diego, California; two step granddaughters Jerri Lynn Leith and husband Flake of Hockley, Texas and Jamie Zen Watts and husband Clay of Lebanon, Missouri; nine great grandchildren, and four great step grandchildren; and nieces Sue Cole of Bland, and Georgia Elberson of Marshall, Arkansas; three nephews Terry Bollman, Robert Bollman and Homer Bollman, Jr. all of Edwardsville, Illinois. Preceding her in death is her Husband Edwin, two sons Eddie and Ralph Bollman, and a brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Mildred Branson. Neva was a past member of the Bland Lioness Club and the First Baptist Church in Bland. She and Edwin owned and operated a trucking company, serving the Belle and Bland communities for many years. In 1995 Edwin and Neva moved to Texas to be near their sons and grandchildren. Graveside services were held Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 at the Bland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to John Paul II Nursing Home in Kenedy.
