The Junior Varsity Badger Football team’s winning streak came to an end last Thursday when they traveled to Dilley.

The boys fell 24-6, and three starters suffered injuries.

Freshman Paul Kinney led the team in rushing yards, while Sophomore Tre Beaver led in receptions and receiving yards.

Freshman Quarterback Kolton Witte led the team in passing yards.

Beaver suffered a severe concussion and will most likely be out the remainder of the season.

Sophomore Ryan Vajdos also had a concussion but should be back next week.

Sophomore Mauricio Blanco hurt his neck and was taken to a local hospital, but is expected to return this week as the JV Badgers face Poth at 6 p.m. Thursday at Poss Johnson Field.

“(Dilley) played a more physical game than us,” Kinney said.
