Alfred Delbert (Red) Hallmark, 83, of Kenedy, TX, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at his home after a long illness. He was born March 24, 1928, in Long Beach, CA, to Delbert Harrison and Arizona Owen Hallmark. He served in WW II as a sergeant in the Army Air Corp, which later changed to the Air Force. Red was a former resident of Corpus Christi, TX, where he was a member of the Arlington Heights Church of Christ. He owned and operated Hallmark Contracting, Inc., prior to moving to Kenedy in 1998. He was a member of the Kenedy Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and two sisters, Lavern Burnett and Flo Tyler.

He is survived by his wife, Janette Hallmark, of Kenedy; his daughters, Alene (Curt) Snodgrass and Molly (Dan) Carter, both of Corpus Christi; and one son Dell (Dee) Hallmark of Kenedy; a sister, Vicki Nunnery, of Kingsville, TX; a brother, Jerry (Betty) Hallmark, of Aransas Pass, Tx; seven grandchildren, Courtney, Blake and Lindsey Snodgrass, Lauren and Wilson Carter, all of Corpus Christi, TX, Weston and Corina Hallmark of Kenedy, TX.

Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.ober 26, 2011 at Eckols Funeral Home in Kenedy, TX. Funeral services were conducted at ll:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Eckols Funeral Home in Kenedy, TX, with minister Russell Briley of Kenedy Church of Christ officiating. Burial followed at The Kenedy cemetery.
