Francisco “Frankie” Salinas, 59, of Kenedy, died November 5, 2011.

Frankie was born September 18, 1952 in Kenedy to Gabriel Salinas to Baudelia (Avalos) Salinas. He married Yolanda (Gutierrez) Salinas on Jan. 29, 1982 in Karnes City. He was an Operator 1 for Pioneer Natural Resources and a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Yolanda (Gutierrez) Salinas of Kenedy; sons, Gabriel (Katie) Salinas of Siganella, Sicily and Daniel Salinas of Kenedy; sisters, Alicia (John) Gench of Sugarland, Esperanza (Ynez) Albiar of Kenedy, Elena Rodriguez of Kenedy, Yolanda (Raymond) Lerma, Jr. of Kenedy and Maria Miller of Cuero; and brothers, Fernando Salinas of Kenedy and Oscar Salinas of Kenedy.

Preceded in death by his father, Gabriel Salinas; mother, Baudelia Salinas; brother, Albert Salinas and sister, Esmeralda Salinas.

A rosary was recited Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in Eckols Chapel. Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of Queen Catholic Church with Rev. Norbert Hermann officiating. Burial followed at the Loma Alta Cemetery in Kenedy.

Pallbearers were Trino Soto, Michael Yeater, John Aguirre, Fernando “Mojo” Albiar, Stormy Rossett and Oscar Danmier.
