Falls City athletes medal at Corpus Christi cross country meet

On Oct. 25, the Falls City Varsity girls and Junior High teams competed at the District level Cross Country Meet at West Guth Park in Corpus Christi.

These athletes did an outstanding job of representing the school and many were fortunate to medal in the top ten.

The varsity girls’ team which consists of: Taylor Dziuk, Kayla Kotara, Shaw Moy, Katie Pollok and Emily Wiatrek placed third as a team which advances them to the Regional Meet held on Saturday, November 5. Among these girls, Taylor Dziuk received a third place medal.

The Junior High girls and boys teams also had a successful day. Both girls and boys placed 2nd as a team. The Junior High girls’ team is made up of Sydney Elkins, Sara Moore, Taylor Dziuk, Hanna Foster and Jordan Lyssy. Out of those girls, Sydney Elkins, Sara Moore, Madison Dziuk and Hannah Foster received a medal for finishing in the top ten. The Junior High boys’ team consists of Jake Dziuk, Gabe Jimerson, Kaleb Hons, Joseph Swierc, Mark Hons and Santos Ramirez. Joseph Swierc placed in the top ten with a fourth place medal.
