The Falls City Beavers began their varsity boys basketball season this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Mcmullen County tournament playing 5 games after only one full practice due to the post season success of the Beavers football team.

Head Coach Wade Lawrence and assistant coach Philip Zwicke were pleased with the outcome posting three wins over Ben Bolt, Charlotte and Kenedy.

The two losses came at the hands of two very good teams - Dilley and George West.

The Beavers will play Friday Dec. 16 at 4:30 p.m. at home against Mcmullen County.

Coach Lawrence and Coach Zwicke expect their three seniors Hunter Jurgajtis, Scott Lyssy and Wade Jimmerson to continue to lead the Beavers in more strong performances with the help of some hungry underclassmen Beavers all getting better as the season progresses and with more practices under their belt.
