On December 14 the Karnes City Junior High cheerleaders and mascot helped make Christmas a little happier for some sick children at The Ronald McDonald House on Lewis Street in San Antonio. The Ronald McDonald house is a place where families of children that are at a nearby hospital can stay while they are receiving treatment. The families must live at least 50 miles from San Antonio.

The girls made unique and individual Build- A-Bear Stuffed animals for 12 sick children and their siblings ranging from 5 months to 16 years old. The girls took the bears to the Ronald McDonald house and hand delivered the special gifts to the children. It was an experience none of them will soon forget.

The cheerleaders would like to pass on a sincere thank you to Karnes Electric Co-op, AB Valve and Piping, Duval Lease Service, David Cole, Karnes County National Bank, Chanka Enterprises, L.P. They would not have been able to do this without your generous donations. The girls also want to send a special prayer to the sick children and their families.
