The Runge Yellow Jackets took on the Moulton Bobkats in Runge Tuesday night and fell to the visitors 51-35.

The Bobkats jumped out to a 12-2 lead but the Yellow Jackets closed the gap to 12-5 to end the first quarter.

The Bobkats extended their lead during the second period to 15 points but Runge Sophomore Travis Perez hit a buzzer beating 3 pointer to cut it to 12 at the half.

Moulton continued to pull away in the second half and began the fourth quarter with a 38-21 advantage.

The Yellow Jackets played strong throughout the remainder of the game outscoring the Bobkats 14-13 in the final period, bringing the final score to 51-35.

A. J. Mejia and Richard Ramirez led the Yellow Jackets in scoring with 11 apiece.

Ramirez also hauled in 15 rebounds to go with his 3 steals and a blocked shot.

The loss drops Runge to 9-11 on the season and 0-2 in district play.
