Junior Post Lani Pitts and Sophomore Point-Guard Kayla Ramirez both scored 14 points to pace the Lady Badgers Basketball team to a 57-40 home win over Cotulla last Friday, Jan. 20. Juniors Khadeshia Hopkins added 10 and Courtney Pieprzyca hit 9.

The Lady Badgers have maintained second place in District 14-2A and faced Poth Tuesday night. Results will be in next week’s edition.

The JV and Varsity girls and boys teams travel to George West this Friday, Jan. 27, with JV games beginning at 5 p.m. The varsity girls square off at 6:30 p.m. and varsity boys at 8 p.m.

Jan. 17: KC 60-Three Rivers 42

Sophomore Point-Guard Kayla Ramirez poured in 21 points, including a pair of 3-pointers in the second quarter, as the Lady Badgers defeated Three Rivers 60-42.

Ramirez has picked up the slack after two key players Junior Aileen Lundquist and Kalli Ferguson have been injured.

Junior Post Lani Pitts chipped in another 14 points in the Lady Badgers’ win over the Lady Bulldogs on the road.
